Membership Information

The Institute on Public Policy for People with Disabilities includes organizations from across Illinois that are committed to creating a more responsive, inclusive and person-centered service delivery system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.  For more than 25 years, the Institute has been a leader in advocating for the expansion of community services, broadening the range of options available through the service delivery system, empowering individuals and families to meaningfully participate in directing their services and creating capacity to assure the diverse needs of all people with I/DD can be met in the community.

The Institute Board is comprised of the Chief Executive Officers of member agencies.  The board meets bi-monthly at locations across the state.  Meetings provide an opportunity for networking, information-sharing and learning from guest speakers and fellow CEO’s.  The Institute also hosts forums for key agency personnel to meet with their peers and discuss and learn about issues of mutual concern.  The Institute sponsors training and educational events for members and the broader disability community.  A weekly Institute Update keeps members informed of activities, issues and events as they are occurring.  The Institute shares information and analysis on state and federal resources, policy and emerging trends.

The fee to join the Institute is $6,800/year, payable in quarterly, semi-annual or annual payment.
